My Magnum Opus
I've been doting over a giant Boston Marrow squash all summer. I grew it from a seed. It's a beauty! What a thrill to watch it grow!

I'm going to cube it, steam it, puree it, and freeze it. In a gardening seminar, I learned that 90% of the canned pumpkin in the U.S. is actually Boston Marrow squash, so it should taste just like canned pumpkin. Between it and its three friends that I also grew (smaller versions of my Magnum Opus), it should more than supply all our pumpkin needs for the year.
